Responsibilities Summary:
As a Payroll Coordinator at Confidential, reporting to the Director of Accounting, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of bi-weekly payroll. You'll serve as a leader within the payroll team, maintaining high standards of policy and procedure compliance. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Coordinating and participating in the processing of bi-weekly payroll.
- Establishing and maintaining payroll data elements, ensuring accurate income, deduction authorization codes, and general ledger expense coding.
- Completing all payroll software processing requirements, including running cycles, entering timecards, data validation, check production, and transmission of NACHA information.
- Serving as the primary payroll contact for system tests and upgrades, and handling electronic transmission of federal and state taxes.
- Producing internal payroll reports and interfacing payroll data with Lawson general ledger.
- Preparing payroll-related reports such as quarterly 941's, W-2 processing, and payroll account reconciliations.
- Supporting management by defining issues, creating custom query reports, and analyzing results.
- Assisting with internal and external audit requests/requirements.
- Actively participating in the Human Resource Information System team to ensure continual system development.
Skills and Certifications:
- Payroll experience
- Knowledge of federal and state regulatory requirements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Experience with 941's Reporting, W-2 Processing, and Payroll Account Reconciliations.
