Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the daily operations of the Diagnostic Imaging department, including staff relations, performance management, and conflict resolution.
  • Assist in developing specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives that support the strategic plan and vision of Northwestern Medicine.
  • Oversee scheduling, recruitment, and payroll processes to ensure efficient and effective departmental operations.
  • Monitor departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, and vendor relations to ensure optimal performance.
  • Determine and justify needs for systems, equipment, and supplies purchases, and oversee proper working order and stock supplies.
  • Assess the quality of patient care delivered and coordinate patient care services with patients, staff, physicians, and other departments.
  • May provide patient care when necessary.

Qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience in a healthcare-related field, including 3 years of leadership experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in a healthcare or business-related field.
  • IEMA and ARRT or ARDMS or NMTCB certification.
  • CERT BLS certification.
  • Certification in area of specialty.
  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to work in a stressful work environment and take appropriate action.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree.
