Strategy and Planning Consultant

We are seeking an experienced Strategy and Planning Consultant with over 15 years of expertise to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in strategic planning and analysis, particularly within the Department of Navy or Department of Defense. This role involves providing strategic insights, developing comprehensive plans, and offering actionable recommendations to enhance organizational effectiveness and mission success.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning and Development:

  • Lead the development of long-term strategic plans that align with the goals and objectives of the Department of Navy or Department of Defense.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to identify strategic priorities and translate them into actionable plans.

Analysis and Insights:

  • Conduct thorough analyses of organizational performance, industry trends, and external factors to inform strategic planning.
  • Utilize data analytics tools to gather insights and support strategic decision-making processes.
  • Strategic Recommendations:
  • Provide expert recommendations based on comprehensive analysis to optimize performance and achieve strategic objectives.
  • Develop and present detailed reports, strategic roadmaps, and presentations that clearly communicate strategic insights and recommendations.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Engage with key stakeholders within the Department of Navy or Department of Defense to understand their strategic needs and requirements.
  • Facilitate workshops and strategic planning sessions to discuss findings and strategic recommendations.

Implementation Support:

  • Assist in the implementation of strategic plans and initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Monitor progress and provide ongoing support and adjustments as needed to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Lead initiatives for continuous improvement by regularly reviewing and refining strategic planning processes.
  • Stay updated with industry best practices and advancements in strategic planning and management.

Experience:

  • 15+ years of experience in strategic planning, analysis, and strategic recommendations.
  • Proven experience providing support to the Department of Navy or Department of Defense.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Strategic Planning, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical skills with expertise in strategic analysis and planning.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex strategic insights clearly.
  • Proficiency in strategic planning tools and software (e.g., SWOT analysis, PEST analysis, strategic frameworks).
  • Strong understanding of strategic management and performance measurement frameworks.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.

Clearance Requirement: Secret

Work Location: Port Hueneme, CA

Place of Performance: Majority of work will be at client facility
