Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Youth Development Professional to join our team at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Oxnard and Port Hueneme. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating activities provided in our youth programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development and Implementation
    • Develop and implement high-quality programs and activities that promote youth development and engagement.
    • Collaborate with staff and community partners to design and deliver programs that meet the needs of our members.
    • Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, making adjustments as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Youth Engagement and Support
    • Build strong relationships with members, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to help them achieve their goals.
    • Develop and implement strategies to increase member participation and engagement in programs and activities.
    • Provide crisis intervention and support as needed to ensure the safety and well-being of our members.
  • Program Management and Administration
    • Manage program budgets, resources, and logistics to ensure efficient and effective program delivery.
    • Develop and maintain partnerships with community organizations, schools, and other stakeholders to support program development and delivery.
    • Collaborate with staff to develop and implement policies and procedures that promote a safe and inclusive environment for all members.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., education, youth development, social work).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with youth in a program or service setting.
  • Strong knowledge of youth development principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to drive a Club van (if required).
