Doncasters is a leading international manufacturer of specialist superalloys and high – precision alloy components made for the most demanding conditions with manufacturing facilities in Europe, USA Mexico, China, and India. Our site Superalloys of Long beach, based in California specializes in the production of high-performance vacuum-refined superalloys serving the aerospace, Industrial Gas Turbine, and automotive market.

Groton is one of our largest sites, based in Connecticut, employing 210 employees, and is still growing, Groton is situated in a great location for easy commuting. Some of the products produced at Groton include Nickel and cobalt based superalloy parts, engine structural components, castings – fans, compressors, and combustors and many more that keep the world in motion

The Systems Administrator will support all levels of the business with their IT needs including hardware, devices, software, cabling and ERP systems.

Manages daily operation of MIS/IT department Consults with management to analyze computer system needs for management information and functional operations, to determine scope and priorities of projects, and to discuss system capacity and equipment acquisitions. Recommends and develops plans for system development and operations, hardware and software purchases, budget, and staffing. Provides support for individual users, including analysis of necessary hardware and software upgrades and purchases. Responds promptly to support tickets raised regarding system support, applications support, connectivity issues, software installations, upgrades, etc. and resolves issues to minimize downtime within critical systems. Researches and tests software prior to deployment across user systems. Follows and promotes management information system policies and controls to ensure data accuracy, security, and legal and regulatory compliance. Liaises with consultants, contractors, technical personnel, and vendors for service and products. Provides support to end users in the selection, procurement, usage, and maintenance of software programs and hardware. Provides status reports/program plans for part scheduling. Manages computer operation scheduling, backup, storage, and retrieval functions. Performs preventative maintenance for the network and all systems. Determines costs and impacts and advises management accordingly Develops, maintains, and tests disaster recovery plans.
