Overview:

The Program Finance Analyst (Financial Analyst) performs Financial Management and Program Control functions associated with contracts managed by the Program Finance Department, 626. The Program Finance team serves as a critical business partner by providing analysis, insight, and guidance to enable strategic program decisions and achieving bottom-line results.

The responsibilities include:

  • Supporting an LOE contract
  • Performance measurement and variance analysis
  • Communicate with Program Office and department Directors
  • Create and update daily, weekly, and monthly reports
  • Estimate at Complete development
  • Budget development and maintenance
  • Preparation of cost reports to support both internal and external customers
  • Input to Finance Systems for Indicated Profit, Sales Orders, and Backlog
  • Manpower Plan and Operating Plan development
  • Shop order control
  • Monitoring subcontractor contracts including requisition review and approval
  • Preparation of billing instructions for submittal to Cash Management
Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, and/or Statistics
  • Experience reporting and analyzing data
  • Experience with Programming languages (VBA, SQL, Python, etc.)

Preferred:

  • Prior Electric Boat internship or co-op experience
  • Experience in Government contract cost control
  • Experience with Earned Value Management
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas)
  • Experience with Power BI, Power Query, and Power Pivot


Skills:
  • Analytical, problem-solving, and decision making skills
  • Able to meet critical deadlines
  • Strong communication skills and experience working collaboratively with others
  • Be interested in and capable of analyzing data with minimal supervision
  • Possess a considerable amount of initiative and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of EB Systems (WAF/DLB, Accounting, Planning, Mainframe MRP, Purchasing and Inventory, Oracle) is a plus
  • Experience working with large data sets
