ROLE OF ASSISTANT PROJECT MANAGER

Working as an Assistant Project Manager entails supporting the Senior Project Manager and project team, ensuring completion of work within set timelines, budget constraints, and specified quality standards. The Assistant Project Manager may be tasked with managing their own projects, overseeing onsite staff, and maintaining regular communication with superintendents. Moreover, they serve as the representative of Omega Construction, Inc. within the Owner-Architect-Builder team, safeguarding the company's interests across all aspects of the project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Estimating, Bidding, and Preconstruction
  • Documenting, Reporting
  • Planning and Scheduling
  • Project Management and Closeout

Basic Requirements:

  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
  • Hold a valid driver's license and reliable transportation method
  • Obtain a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • Demonstrate proficiency in technical documents and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and organized approach to work
  • Ability to resolve project issues collaboratively
  • Experience in the construction industry is preferred

Training:

All employees must maintain current CPR/AED certification and complete a 30-hour OSHA training within the last 5 years. Additional equipment training and corporate safety sessions are also required.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Oversee field management team, supervise field employees, and ensure project progression according to set directives. Adhere to company policies and laws governing employee management.

Safety Responsibilities:

Enforce subcontractors' safety programs, refer to the Omega Safety Manual, and adhere to OSHA regulations.

Physical Requirements:

  • Mobility around construction sites and ability to navigate various terrains
  • Good physical endurance for extended periods of standing and walking
  • Effective communication and coordination skills
  • Capability to operate office equipment and manage physical tasks efficiently
  • Adaptability to various weather conditions and construction site hazards
