About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Surveyor to join our team at Actalent. As a Project Surveyor, you will play a critical role in supporting our land survey services, working closely with our crew chiefs, technicians, and project managers to deliver high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of field and office survey and mapping tasks, utilizing survey field equipment such as GPS/GNSS, robotic total stations, and Microstation/Civil 3D CADD platforms.
• Assist and communicate with crew chiefs, technicians, and project managers in support of their duties, as well as professional land surveyors in preparation of land surveying documents.
• Adhere to OSHA and required safety practices, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others.
• Overtime and occasional out-of-town and overnight travel may be required.

Requirements

• A four-year degree in land surveying or a related field.
• 1 or more years of relevant experience within the following surveying services: Design surveys, Geospatial control and lidar QA/QC, Construction layout, Land surveys, NCDOT surveying procedures.
• Experience with Trimble survey equipment and software.
• Experience with Civil3D/AutoCAD and Microstation.
• Ability to keep thorough notes and perform necessary survey calculations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Self-starter who can work independently and adapt to working in a team setting.
• Ability to effectively communicate with clients and project managers.
