Role Summary

The Talent & Culture Manager will lead and oversee all HR functions within the hotel. This position involves strategic planning, policy development, employee relations, talent acquisition, performance management, training and development, and compliance with relevant labor laws and regulations.

As the Company operates 24/7, operational needs may require flexibility in shift patterns, start and end times, and weekly hours worked.

Main Responsibilities:

Talent Acquisition:
    • Devising and executing effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent.
    • Managing the full recruitment process from job posting to onboarding.
Employee Relations:
    • Cultivating positive employee relations and addressing concerns.
    • Implementing policies and procedures to maintain a healthy work environment.
Training and Development:
    • Identifying training needs and organizing employee development programs.
    • Implementing strategies to enhance employee skills and career advancement.
Performance Management:
    • Supervising performance appraisal processes and providing performance improvement guidance.
    • Developing and implementing performance management systems.
Culture Development:
    • Contributing to the development and promotion of the company's culture.
    • Implementing initiatives to boost employee engagement and satisfaction.
Compliance:
    • Ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations.
    • Staying updated on HR best practices and legal requirements.
Benefits Administration:
    • Managing employee benefits programs such as health insurance and retirement plans.
    • Evaluating and suggesting enhancements to benefit offerings.
Employee Communication:
    • Facilitating effective communication between employees and management.
    • Implementing communication strategies to keep employees well-informed.
Key Requirements:
  • Experience in managing talent and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation abilities.
  • Strong organizational skills, follow-through, and demonstrated leadership.
  • Self-motivated and capable of independent work.
  • Team player who thrives in a collaborative atmosphere.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS, ideally Paychex.
  • Superb Customer Service and relationship-building abilities.
  • Enthusiastic, energetic, persuasive, competitive, and outgoing personality.
Education and Work Experience:
  • BA/BS Degree in Human Resources or a related field preferred.
  • 2-5 years of progressive HR experience.
  • Experience in the hospitality sector is advantageous.
