Job Description

The Web Administrator role supports top-tier university websites. Reporting to the Director of Web Content, you will be responsible for tasks such as website content updates, migrations, and testing after security updates. Working within the MarCom web team, you will engage with various software platforms like Drupal and Siteimprove. Besides, you will assist campus partners in web support and handle inquiries related to their websites. Join us in contributing to UMass Homepage Suite updates and other web development tasks as required.

Main Responsibilities
  • Monitor and address campus partners' web support requests promptly.
  • Utilize software to improve website integrity and ensure compliance with web guidelines.
  • Review websites to align with university brand standards.
  • Initiate website updates and issue resolutions proactively.
  • Support content entry using Drupal CMS.
  • Provide additional website training to partners when necessary.
  • Troubleshoot and rectify content issues efficiently.
  • Handle website administration tasks effectively.
  • Collaborate with IT staff for migrations and technical problem-solving.
  • Participate in web support planning and documentation.
Additional Duties

Undertake other assigned responsibilities.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of website implementation and maintenance experience.
  • Proficiency in Drupal front-end design.
  • Strong web support skills with a willingness to learn.
  • Experience in generating website analytics reports.
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
  • Skilled in MS Office applications.
  • Outstanding customer service skills.
  • Ability to work well in diverse team environments.
Working Conditions

Typical office setting

Work Schedule
  • Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm
  • This role offers a hybrid work schedule with some remote work possibilities, subject to union terms.
