Position Summary:

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Environmental Escort Associate.

Responsibilities:

  • Arrives on time and in uniform as per Departmental policies and procedures.
  • Performs and completes all housekeeping and waste attendant duties as per Departmental policies and procedures.
  • Maintains a clean and safe work environment and keeps all housekeeping equipment clean, and organized to Departmental standard.
  • Performs Patient Transport trips as per NYU Langone and Departmental specific policies and procedures
  • Performs all Housekeeping and Patient Transport duties in a safe manner, returns any and all equipment to designated areas and keeps the patient needs first.
  • Routinely demonstrates safe handling of patients when performing and completing Patient Transport trips.
  • Maintains patient confidentiality as per NYU Langone policies and procedures.
  • Performs Patient Transport departmental sixty second inspection and double identification when performing patient transport trips.
  • Ensures proper handoff is performed upon arrival to and from patient unit or test site.
  • Follows proper standard precaution procedures and handwashing protocol as per Departmental policies and procedures.
  • Effectively communicates and provides Patient Transport status updates i.e... Delays, cancelations, postponements, etc.
  • Follows NYU time keeping policies and procedures.
  • Ensures and communicates to Management and dispatch of all issues, concerns or unsafe conditions impacting Housekeeping and Patient Transport operations.

Minimum Qualifications:

To qualify you must have a High school diploma or GED.

Preferred Qualifications:

2 years of experience in related field
