About the Role:
The Department of Environmental Services at SUNY Downstate Medical Center is seeking a full-time Environmental Services Associate (Nights) to join our team. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for maintaining assigned areas in our State buildings and surrounding grounds.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a wide range of cleaning tasks to maintain assigned areas, including but not limited to:
- Cleaning and disinfecting surfaces, floors, and equipment
- Emptying trash and recyclables
- Restocking supplies and materials
- Assisting with special events and projects as needed
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience in cleaning or facilities maintenance preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
