Role Summary
The Cigna Group has an exciting opportunity for a strategic and motivated communications professional to join our Executive Communications team.
This key role will support a range of communications activities – from writing to presentation development – for the company's senior leaders.
The successful candidate will be experienced in the preparation of strategic communications plans, as well as tactical execution, including talking points and messaging, short speeches, presentations/graphics materials, the creative use of new and existing channels, and video treatments.
Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and align a strategic communications plan that helps advance key business/function goals/needs in support of enterprise growth and impact.
Lead a team of communicators to tactically execute the communications plan, adapting/adjusting as needed based on data/metrics.Contribute to enterprise executive communications strategy.
Provide strategic counsel to communications leadership, as well as business/functional leadership.
Monitor results of communications programs/strategy, using specific metrics to track progress and insights for continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Communications, Journalism, English or related discipline and at least 8-10+ years of clearly related experience;
Demonstrated skill in writing and editing C-suite or senior executive communications for large organizations, with the ability to convey complex information in clear, compelling ways;
Strong grammar skills;
Comfort and skill in graphics and presentation design;
Interest and experience in conducting research;
Exceptional attention to detail;
A proven willingness and ability to work quickly in a fast-moving, deadline-driven environment;
Strong work ethic and positive attitude;
Ability to work with a high level of independence as well as collaboratively as part of a team;
Demonstrated executive presence; ability to provide coaching, new ideas, sensitive feedback and real-world lessons learned to leaders at all levels;
Portfolio of samples (written and graphics) will be required;
Position based in Bloomfield, CT, St. Louis, MO, WAH location
If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 107, ,900 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
