Key Responsibilities- Personal Care: Provide daily personal care to residents, including bathing, showering, shaving, dressing, and elimination needs.
- Transfer and Ambulation: Safely transfer and assist residents with ambulation using assistive devices such as gait belts, walkers, wheelchairs, and mechanical lifts.
- Vital Signs and Observations: Accurately weigh residents, take vital signs, and responsibly report observations and changes in resident condition.
- Positioning and Incontinent Care: Check bedfast or incontinent residents every two hours to adjust position, toilet, and provide incontinent care.
- Physical Comfort and Safety: Provide a safe environment for residents, including consistently monitoring chair and bed alarms, and following all safety and security policies and procedures.
- Housekeeping and Maintenance: Maintain resident rooms in a neat and orderly fashion, while respecting residents' right to privacy.
- Meal Service and Assistance: Serve meal trays, assist with feeding as needed, and provide nourishments to residents in a timely fashion.
- Documentation and Communication: Complete documentation in the Care Tracker System accurately and in a timely fashion, and communicate with nurses regarding changes in resident condition.
- Certification: Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant in the State of Connecticut.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Language: Ability to read, write, and speak English in an understandable manner.
- Physical Demands: Ability to safely perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Competitive Pay: $19.00-$23.00 per hour (based on experience) + shift differential.
