Job Description

A local steel company is looking to hire overhead crane operators to join their team

2nd and 3rd shift positions available

Pay Rate: $21.50 per hour

Duties:

  • Operate cranes to lift, move, and position heavy materials and equipment according to project specifications
  • Perform pre-operational checks on the crane to ensure safety and functionality
  • Rig loads properly to ensure stability and secure attachment to the crane
  • Safely maneuver loads using hand signals or radio communication with ground personnel
  • Inspect and maintain the crane, including routine maintenance checks and reporting any malfunctions or defects
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols to prevent accidents or injuries

Skills:

  • Strong materials handling skills to safely move equipment and materials using cranes
  • Familiarity with operating various types of cranes
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations, shipping, and receiving processes
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness for precise load positioning
