Job Summary

The Heavy Equipment Technician is a critical member of our team at Hoist & Crane Service Group Inc, responsible for maintaining and repairing heavy equipment, specifically cranes, in an industrial setting. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, as well as excellent problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshooting and Repair: Identify and repair issues with industrial hoists and cranes, ensuring they are functioning safely and efficiently.
  • Inspections and Maintenance: Perform regular inspections and maintenance tasks to prevent equipment failures and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Work closely with the Service Manager and Branch Manager to schedule and complete work orders, and communicate effectively with customers and colleagues.
  • Operational Safety: Ensure all equipment is operated and maintained in a safe and responsible manner, and report any deficiencies to the immediate supervisor.
  • Teamwork and Training: Participate in company-provided training and seminars to enhance skills and knowledge, and work effectively as part of a team.
Requirements
  • Experience: 0-2 years of experience in crane maintenance and repair in an industrial setting.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational or technical training certificate preferred.
  • Skills: Basic computer skills, ability to communicate effectively, and willingness to work at heights and in varying weather conditions.
