Allied Reliability is searching for Project Engineers responsible for planning, organizing and executing project front end loading and project design engineering, including option selection, scope development, change control, cost estimating, cost control, and scheduling development for all assigned projects in an Oil & Gas Refinery.

The Project Engineer is also accountable for providing technical support during construction and commissioning/startup of the project to ensure correct installation.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain all project-related documents such as Project Study Basis, Project Study Report, Project Design, Authorization for Expenditure, with applicable backup documents like Process Spec, project cost estimate, Project Execution Plan, Project Schedule, project design documents, Management of Change, project startup audits, cost commitments vs. approved funding, and project closeout.
  • Execute detailed design and material purchases for all assigned projects, including developing plot plans, layouts, 3D models, equipment specifications, discipline engineering packages, and quality control.
  • Assist Procurement with source selection, bid evaluation, and expediting as required.
  • Provide project execution coordination and assistance to various groups on their project responsibilities, such as P&ID development, safety reviews, and construction packages.
  • Monitor and report on cost, cash flow forecasting, schedule performance, change order management, scope control, contract project engineering work, and material quality checks.
  • Establish project objectives and related performance standards including project cost, schedule, quality, safety, environmental performance, customer satisfaction, and legal/regulatory compliance.
  • Develop the appropriate team to implement the project successfully and achieve objectives.
  • Provide engineering support with corporate/refinery standard engineering specifications, variance requests, and approvals. Monitor variance frequency and update standard engineering specifications as necessary.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Civil Engineering, or related field with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and written/oral communication skills.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
  • Candidate must be able to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).
  • Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience, with a preference for 10+ years of experience (salary based on experience).
  • Refinery experience preferred, though chemical industry or heavy industry experience may be considered.
  • Candidates must be able to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credentials Card).
