JOB DESCRIPTION:
Royal Hawaiian Movers seeks to hire an experienced professional, with excellent customer service and administrative skills to assist our transportation and logistics department with customers moving household goods and personal effects around the world.
We are a family-owned fifth-generation company looking for an excellent Transportation Move Specialist / Customer Service Representative to join our growing team in Honolulu, Hawaii.
JOB SUMMARY:
This team-member will coordinate and assist management with the move of our customer's household goods and personal effects. This individual must be detail-oriented and possess a strong customer service background.
The ideal candidate will possess strong multitasking, time management and organizational skills, and a background in the transportation industry will be a plus.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Plan, coordinate and assist customers with their move of household goods and personal effects.
Office duties for this fast-paced environment will include:
Strong verbal and written communication.
Answering phones is required.
Computer:
Working in a networked environment using Windows and/or Windows-like interface using Microsoft office suite such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook at a proficient level.
Must have strong organizational skills and the ability to pay close attention to detail.Time management:
Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and assignments. Knowledge of planning and scheduling techniques & exceptional time management skills.
Teamwork, multitasking, resourceful and interpersonal skills.
Other duties may be assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS /ABILITIES:
Provide excellent customer service and follow through on commitments.
Have a positive, friendly "can do" attitude.
Must be reliable and hard working.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Ability to answer phones.
Ability to type, perform data entry, review, and validate customer documentation.
Ability to process and submit billings & invoices.
Customer Service skills.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
1 year of experience in administrative and customer service skills is preferred but not required.
Transportation and moving experience preferred but not required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift 20 pounds at times.
