Job Title:
Accounts Payable Specialist

Position Summary:
This position is responsible for completion of the accounts payable function in a timely and accurate manner.

Essential Functions:

  • Perform the necessary tasks to maintain the accounts payable records
  • Code invoices with detailed GL account numbers, job numbers, cost types and tax fields electronically
  • Able to handle complex coding
  • Enter invoices in the fast paced & high-volume environment
  • Maintain & create spreadsheets for various tracking initiatives and mass imports
  • Prepare the weekly check run
  • Verify and investigate open invoices prior to weekly payments
  • Compile and sort documents such as invoices and checks
  • Reconcile vendor account statements to ensure accuracy
  • Prepare monthly payable reports
  • Experience with internal and external customer service
  • Takes responsibility and resolves problems
  • Strong organizational skills - able to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Detail oriented and quick learner
  • Strong communication skills while working with vendors and operations

Minimum Qualifications:
An Associate's Degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred. Must have at least 2 years related experience or be a recent college Graduate. Must be proficient in Micro-Soft Excel skills, prefer Advanced.

Must be well organizational and have excellent customer service and communication skills, be a self-starter and have the ability to multi-task.

Previous experience in construction industry preferred.
