Job Summary and Qualifications:


Seeking a registered Operating Room Nurse Manager in our ambulatory surgery center who provides clinical management andexpertiseover operating room nurses, surgicaltechniciansand central sterile processing staff to ensure patients receive high quality, efficient care.

As an operating room clinical manager, you will have the opportunity for future growth and upward mobility within the organization.


What you'll do:

  • You will manage and supervise all surgical areas of care
  • Establish and maintain an effective and supportive working relationship with your Administrator
  • You will ensure that the daytoday operations are conducted in accordance with clinical practice standards and policies of the center
  • Ensure sufficient staffing daily by notifying your team of scheduling changes
  • You will participate in the monitoring and evaluation of nursing care provided
  • Accessible to your staff by providing breaks, ensuring coverage for meal breaks, late cases and staffing shortages
  • Monitor your clinical area to ensure materials are provided for upcoming cases
  • You will facilitate effective and efficient transition between surgical procedures
  • You will delegate, coach, mentor and handle conflict resolution with your team Ability to build trust and gain the respect of your team through effective leadership

What you should have for this role:

  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in an operating room setting, preferably in an ambulatory surgery center
  • Active RN license as required by state of employment or appropriate compact licensure
  • Valid BCLS Certification upon employment **online certification not acceptable
  • ACLS as required by facility
  • CNOR certification preferred

Brandon Surgery Center is located in Brandon, Florida, one of the fastest growing communities in the Tampa Bay Area, near I-75 and I-4. Our center is a top revenue producing facility for Surgery Ventures Group powered by HCA.

Established in 1990, a new facility was built in 2020:
a 33,500 sq. ft facility contains 8 OR's and 6 Procedure Rooms, performing over 1800 cases per month.
