Customer Relations Specialist

Allied Mineral Products Holding, Inc. is a top player in the production of monolithic refractories globally, with its headquarters situated in Columbus, Ohio. We're on the lookout for a Customer Relations Specialist responsible for managing domestic customer orders from receipt to delivery and invoicing. This role involves navigating orders through the company's ERP system and maintaining constant communication with customers, sales, production, shipping, accounting, and external logistics providers.

Key Duties:
  • Provide Sales support by conveying accurate inventory information, lead times, and processing orders directly from customers or Sales.
  • Coordinate with production in all US locations daily to determine orders for entry and shipment.
  • Ensure correct pricing in the system and enter missing information accurately.
  • Collaborate with the credit and purchasing departments for order processing.
  • Coordinate with shipping for emergency orders and inventory management.
  • Manage outside bonded warehouses and oversee inventory levels.
  • Schedule trucks for emergency orders and obtain freight quotes when necessary.
  • Process Canadian documents for efficient shipments to Canada.
  • Maintain customer records in the system.
  • Handle daily invoicing, credit memos, and material return credits.
  • Work closely with various teams to ensure order accuracy and timely delivery.
  • Act as a backup for domestic affiliates in multiple locations.
  • Initiate change orders as needed.
  • Overtime may be required occasionally.
Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Prior customer service experience is advantageous.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office and data entry.
  • Attention to detail and independent problem-solving skills.
  • Good mathematical and computation abilities.
  • Dependable, punctual, and a team player.
