The Director of Marketing & Customer Experience is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies to educate, engage, and assist prospects through the buyers journey.

This high-profile position will work in conjunction with Sales, Sales Strategy, Operations, Product Development, Service, and Marketing teams to develop and implement robust buyer journey marketing strategies to ensure we are targeting the right prospects, at the right time, with the right messaging, across a variety of different channels, including email, social, in-product, web, direct mail, partner channels, etc.

The role will focus on driving additional business from prospective and current clients, engaging the client base, using data driven techniques and research to maximize prospect experience to support sales.

The Director of Marketing & Customer Experience role requires an engaging self-starter with strong creativity, a passion for the customer and data, and the ability to execute in a dynamic environment.

The ideal candidate will be a high-energy marketer who strives for innovation and results-oriented outcomes.

The individual needs to be self-directed and able to handle multiple tasks, delegate responsibility through a matrixed team and prioritize with a professional, can-do attitude.


Essential Job Functions and Accountabilities:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and determine high impact plans and results
  • Create and drive an overall Buyer Journey strategy for our prospects and customers, matching the appropriate message with the relevant step in the buyer's journey
  • Ability to acquire, analyze, and distribute key trends in the market including size, opportunity, and market share. In addition, be able to utilize this data to make key decision on how best to market our solutions to these prospects.
  • Plan and execute multi-channel/multi-touch direct marketing engagement programs consisting of email, in-product, SMS, social, digital as well as and other traditional marketing tactics
  • Support Sales team in their critical efforts to expand revenue opportunities within existing clients
  • Develop a culture of testing and optimization
  • Work closely with internal partners to develop appropriate content to engage prospects
  • Work closely with CRM partners to develop journeys to reach prospects and captivate them
  • Develop reporting and analysis and cadence to understand the effectiveness of strategies with clear ROIs on the initiatives.

Educational and Experience Qualifications:

  • MBA preferred with a technical undergraduate degree a plus
  • Minimum of 10 years of related experience in marketing technical products with 5 years experience supervisory or management experience
  • Expert understanding of customer journeys; how to build, how to execute
  • Results-oriented; high sense of urgency and energy
  • Strategic thinker with broad perspective and, at the same time, demonstrates an acute attention to detail and ability to execute flawlessly
  • Demonstrated ability in building and leading programs in B2B environments
  • Strong relationship management skills when working with cross functional groups
  • Expert Digital marketing skills and experience

Other Qualifications:

  • Ability to influence and gain the support of a diverse and demanding sales organization
  • Ability to travel up to 30%
