Title: Director of Brand and Field Marketing

Location: Franklin, TN *Relocation Assistance being offered.

Compensation: 150 to 225k DOE with 25% bonus

Position Overview

The Director of Brand and Field Marketing will develop, implement, and oversee our products and services in alignment with the strategies and vision of the Organization. This position will collaborate with and drive results by partnering with leaders throughout the organization, as well as agency partners, to lead brand and product strategy, and grow community marketing efforts, including partnerships, sponsorships and collateral. The Director of Brand and Field Marketing should have a proven track record of successful project delivery and ability to improve project management practices and substantial team leadership experience and ability to work across functional organizations. Experience working with IT and technology platforms will also prove valuable and (ideally) familiarity with lead generation businesses, performance analytics and metrics.

Responsibilities

  • Seek implementation efficiencies to meet or exceed the business case or success metric expectation established at the project initiation.
  • Monitor compliance with project policies and standards.
  • Manage direct reports, and coach and mentor Marketing and other key functional teams.
  • Coordinate project deliverables with Digital Marketing team, Field, Finance, IT, and Sales teams within a largely indirect reporting structure.
  • Support initiative managers and leaders to ensure projects are delivered on-time, within scope and on budget.
  • Partner with agency to drive brand positioning work, and partner across the Marketing organization to bring that positioning to life through creative executions and product strategy
  • Create consumer product strategy and translate into an actionable, detailed product roadmap that accounts for new products, services, features and positioning opportunities.
  • Support roadmap prioritization through business cases that incorporate analysis of market re- search and relevant internal data points to project product demand, positioning, viability, and profitability. Achieve sales growth targets by working with Business Leaders and key stakeholders to create product level strategies.
  • Recommend the scope of present and future product lines by reviewing product specifications and requirements; appraising new product ideas and product innovation.
  • Partner with Operations leaders and Finance partners to determine product pricing strategy by utilizing market research data, reviewing production and sales costs, and anticipating volume.
  • Facilitate community marketing efforts through collaboration with field leaders on budget, messaging, sponsorships, and collateral.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience in Product Management or Marketing in complex/matrix environments, or an equivalent combination. MBA preferred.
  • P&L / GM experience.
  • Merchandising and promotional management experience.
  • Consumer research / insight experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in development and execution of strategy and work plans.
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships.
  • Budget, cost and profitability management skills.
  • Knowledge of resource management tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate analysis and insights into actionable business plans.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with shifting priorities and fluid deadlines.
  • Exceptional project management and organizational abilities.
  • Able to initiate and execute complex, cross-functional projects with minimal guidance.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, comfortable presenting to internal project stakeholders.
  • Expertise and skills with workflows and project management software like Trello, Jira, MS Project, ADO, etc.
  • Computer skills with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), and SharePoint.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills – PivotTables, Macros, advanced formulas (VLOOKUP, etc).
  • Ability to travel up to 20% (US).
