We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Human Resources Manager to provide day-to-day leadership and support for all general functions of the HR department.

The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader with expertise in employee relations, compliance, talent management, and organizational effectiveness.

What does a Human Resources Manager do at GAINSCO?

Employee Relations and Programs:
Provide guidance and support to leadership in disciplinary actions and decisions, ensuring compliance with laws and company policies.
Conduct exit interviews, investigations, and employee engagement surveys.
Manage Annual Performance Review, Mid-Year Performance Review, Merit, Discretionary Bonus, and Goal Setting processes.
Participate in compensation grade projects, including job description development and pay grade verification.
Support the Circle of Champions program and participate in special projects and events.

Compliance:
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
Coordinate Workers' Compensation reporting and administer Leave of Absence requests.
Lead investigations, evaluate accommodation requests, and manage complaint reporting.
Review and maintain compliance with OSHA, FMLA, TWC, EEOC, ERISA, HIPPA, ADEA, ADA.
Stay informed about trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in HR and employment law.

Human Resources Strategies:
Collaborate with HRBP to develop, recommend, and implement proactive HR strategies.

Work across the HR department, collaborate with senior leadership, employees, and external resources to prioritize efforts for organizational effectiveness and legal compliance.

Lead projects to successful conclusions.

HR Operations:
Enter and update HR records information, provide input to the payroll department, and maintain documentation/files confidentially.
Ensure effective operations by coaching and coordinating with other company programs and initiatives.
Provide direction and support to employees on HR procedures throughout the employee life cycle.
Promote and enforce consistency in HR policy implementation within the business.

What is required?

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required

Experience:
Minimum eight years of general HR experience, with emphasis in employee relations required.
Strong background and handling experience working with active employee relations involvement with managers and employees required.
Working knowledge of all Federal and State laws as they apply to Human Resources.
Proficiency with UKG is preferred.

Other skills and abilities:
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to effectively build and maintain rapport.
Ability to use good judgment and discretion to accomplish goals and work requirements.
Ability to work independently and to effectively manage time and priorities.
