JOB DESCRIPTION
Seeking a Heavy Truck Parts Clerk to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in managing inventory, handling administrative tasks, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
  • Conduct parts research to maintain optimal inventory levels.
  • Collaborate with supervisors on order points and quantities.
  • Establish and manage accounts while organizing parts inventory.
  • Efficiently handle storing, labeling, and issuing parts.
  • Process work orders, track purchases, and manage receipts.
  • Maintain parts inventory and assist in parts purchasing.
  • Handle warranty part ordering and processing.
  • Communicate with customers and vendors via phone and manage vendor performance.
  • Input work requests accurately into the system.
  • Perform other necessary tasks as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Experience with barcoding systems.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills.
  • Strong time management and accuracy skills.
  • Prior experience with heavy trucks and equipment.

Education/Experience
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 2 years in parts inventory and ideally 1 year in inventory management.
  • Must possess a valid California Driver License.

Language Skills
  • Effective communication skills in English; bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Reasoning Ability
  • Ability to work independently.

Physical Demands

The role requires physical activity such as sitting, talking, using hands, walking, and lifting/moving objects. The candidate should have good vision abilities and be able to meet the physical requirements of the job. Reasonable accommodations can be arranged as needed.
