Job Summary

This position is responsible for operating heavy truck tractors with semi-trailers or other trailer equipment in support of the Industrial Warehouse and Distribution Supervisor and various manufacturing enterprises.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate heavy truck tractors with semi-trailers or other trailer equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Transport goods and materials to and from various locations within the prison facility and surrounding areas.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Collaborate with other departments and teams to achieve operational goals and objectives.
Working Conditions

Employees in this position will work in a fast-paced environment with regular and substantial contact with persons incarcerated in California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) institutions and/or medical facilities.

Requirements
  • A valid California Driver's License (CDL) is required.
  • Ability to pass a physical examination and meet the physical demands of the job.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
