Position Overview: We are seeking a passionate and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in San Luis Obispo, California. Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct assessments and evaluations to diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in individuals across the lifespan.
  2. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to address the unique needs and goals of each client.
  3. Provide direct therapy services to clients, utilizing evidence-based practices and innovative techniques to improve communication skills.
  4. Collaborate with clients, families, caregivers, and other professionals to establish therapy goals and monitor progress.
  5. Offer guidance and support to families and caregivers on strategies to facilitate communication and language development at home and in various settings.
  6. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss client progress, coordinate care, and develop comprehensive treatment plans.
  7. Stay abreast of current research, trends, and best practices in the field of speech-language pathology, integrating new knowledge into clinical practice.
  8. Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of assessments, treatment sessions, progress reports, and other relevant records in compliance with legal and professional standards.
  9. Advocate for the communication rights and accessibility of individuals with speech, language, and communication disorders in diverse settings.
  10. Foster a positive and inclusive environment that values diversity, equity, and respect for all clients and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • California state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
  • Previous experience working with individuals across the lifespan, preferably in clinical, educational, or community settings.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Proficiency in conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and implementing evidence-based interventions in speech-language pathology.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous improvement.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of clients and work in various settings.
