Speech-Language Pathologist Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist to provide comprehensive speech and language services to students within our dynamic school district in San Luis Obispo, California.

Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate students' speech and language abilities.
  2. Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to meet the diverse communication needs of each student.
  3. Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students, both individually and in group settings, utilizing evidence-based practices.
  4. Collaborate closely with educators, parents, and other professionals to support students' academic and social development.
  5. Monitor students' progress and adjust intervention strategies as necessary to ensure positive outcomes.
  6. Maintain accurate documentation of assessment results, treatment plans, progress reports, and billing records in compliance with state regulations and school district policies.
  7. Participate actively in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
  8. Stay informed about current research, best practices, and emerging trends in the field of speech-language pathology.
Qualifications:
  1. Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited university.
  2. Active licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of California.
  3. Certification from the California Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Board (SLPAB), or eligibility for certification.
  4. Certification from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) as a Speech-Language Pathologist in schools (or eligibility for certification).
  5. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), or eligibility to obtain.
  6. Strong understanding of educational policies, procedures, and regulations related to special education services.
  7. Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  8. Preferred experience working with students in educational settings.
