Key Responsibilities:- Assessment and Treatment Planning: Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop personalized treatment plans for patients with speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders.
- Therapy Sessions: Provide individual and group therapy sessions to patients, utilizing evidence-based practices and innovative techniques.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about communication and swallowing disorders, offering strategies for continued progress outside of therapy sessions.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, documenting progress and modifying treatment plans as necessary.
- Education: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Licensure: Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in California.
- Certification: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
- Experience: Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred but not required.
