The Broward County Board of County Commissioners is currently in search of qualified individuals for the position of Grants Administrator.

Job Overview
Collaborating with recipient agencies, the Grants Administrator at Broward County reviews grant-related contractual documents, PeopleSoft grant module data, federal compliance regulations, and closely liaises with various departments to ensure adherence to grant-related regulations and prevent compliance violations. This role involves developing and implementing programs, reporting major activities to executive administrators, and attending conferences and training sessions.

Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in business or public administration, along with at least six years of progressive experience in government management, regulatory matters, compliance, or related fields, showcasing a broad understanding of grant finance. Additionally, candidates should have substantial experience with diverse grants from federal, state, and local entities and at least two years of supervisory experience.

Preferred Qualifications
Having a Master's degree in business or public administration, experience with PeopleSoft, and a background in the public sector or government would be advantageous for this position.

Responsibilities
  • Provide technical assistance to grantees regarding financial compliance.
  • Research grant opportunities to offset project costs.
  • Review grant applications for county agencies.
  • Assist agencies with the Grant Award process.
  • Train staff on the PeopleSoft grant module.
  • Stay updated on federal, state, and local regulations affecting grant programs.
  • Establish, review, and update grant-related county-wide policies and procedures.
  • Participate in training sessions, meetings, and seminars.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.

Work Environment
The role may involve some physical exertion and coordination of movement.
The Grants Administrator role primarily entails sedentary work with occasional standing or walking, along with operating a keyboard.
