- Serve as a Child Protection Investigator to receive and investigate reports of alleged child abuse/neglect
- Prepare investigation reports to assess validity of allegations
- Select, summarize, and present case material for transfer to permanency caseworker or community agencies
- Determine and coordinate children placement in substitute care facilities
- Attend conferences to assess needed services
- Transport clients when necessary
- Perform additional duties as required
