This position reports to the Title IX Coordinator and the Associate to the Chancellor for Institutional Equity and Compliance.
Key Responsibilities
The Civil Rights Investigator will be responsible for:
- Developing and implementing policies and procedures that promote equity and compliance.
- Providing education and training sessions for the university community on civil rights issues.
- Conducting thorough investigations into complaints of discrimination and harassment.

Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must possess:
- A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
- A minimum of two years of relevant work experience, which includes:

- Experience in conducting investigations that involve interviewing individuals and assessing information for relevance.
- Ability to maintain impartiality throughout the investigative process.
- Strong writing skills for drafting clear and organized technical documents.
- Experience in handling sensitive and confidential information.
- Proven ability to build trust and rapport with colleagues.
- Initiative in completing projects and enhancing departmental processes.
- Effective communication skills with various stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred candidates will have:
- A graduate or professional degree in a related discipline.
- More than two years of relevant experience, particularly in higher education or governmental settings.
- Experience working with diverse populations and an understanding of the challenges faced by marginalized groups.
- Experience in supporting international students or employees.
Additional Information
