SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday, 1st shift/business hours

PAY RANGE: $24-$28/hr DOE

Job Summary:

Your role as an Inventory Specialist will be responsible for managing and maintaining a company's inventory levels to ensure that products are available when needed while minimizing excess stock and costs. The role involves a combination of administrative, analytical, and operational Inventory Specialist will include the recording and accuracy of the components, finished goods, equipment and supplies.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and maintain current inventory levels.
  • Track inventory usage and manage stock levels to prevent overstocking or stockouts.
  • Conduct regular physical counts of inventory and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Generate purchase orders based on inventory needs.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of products.
  • Monitor lead times and adjust order quantities to optimize inventory levels.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions, including receipts, shipments, and adjustments.
  • Use inventory management software to update stock information and generate reports.
  • Inspect incoming inventory for defects or discrepancies and report any issues.
  • Ensure that inventory is stored correctly to prevent damage and deterioration.
  • Analyze sales trends and historical data to forecast future inventory needs.
  • Develop and implement inventory control procedures and best practices.
  • Generate and analyze inventory reports to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.
  • Provide inventory status reports to management and other departments as needed.
  • Monitor inventory costs and work to minimize expenses related to storage, handling, and obsolescence.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • A high school diploma, a bachelor's degree in business, logistics, or a related field can be advantageous.
  • Previous experience in inventory management, warehousing, or a related field preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience in implementing and working within an MRP software
  • Ability to effectively use computer and communication technology such as Microsoft Office

Pay Details: $24.00 to $28.00 per hour
