Job Description

Position: Warehouse Material Specialist
Shift: Various shifts available
Compensation: Competitive hourly rate

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The essential responsibilities of the warehouse material specialist include, but are not limited to:

  • Inbound Operations: Efficiently unload freight from trucks and containers, verify product counts against shipping documents, and report any discrepancies. Ensure all incoming shipments are safely stored and organized.
  • Order Fulfillment: Accurately pick products based on order specifications, utilizing material handling equipment to transport items to designated shipping areas. Ensure proper labeling and packaging of orders.
  • Outbound Operations: Confirm that outgoing shipments match order requirements in terms of quantity and labeling. Prepare products for transport by loading them into appropriate vehicles.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Keep all material handling equipment in good working condition, adhering to safety standards and company policies.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records, assist with stock audits, and ensure proper rotation of goods.
  • Additional Duties: Perform repacking and consolidation of goods as necessary, operate shrink-wrap machinery, and maintain cleanliness in the warehouse environment.
  • Other tasks as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Forklift certification and HAZMAT training are advantageous.


SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability to lift heavy items (up to 75 pounds) using proper techniques.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow safety protocols.
  • Capability to manage stress and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Proficient in using hands and feet for repetitive tasks.
  • Responsible work ethic and familiarity with warehouse operations.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts as needed.


LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY:
Ability to read and interpret operational documents and regulations. Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with team members and management.
