PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The primary responsibilities of the Warehouse Operations Specialist include a variety of essential tasks, such as:
- Receiving: Efficiently unload freight from trucks and containers, ensuring accurate counts and checking for any damages or discrepancies. Report any issues using the proper documentation and ensure safe storage of all incoming goods.
- Order Fulfillment: Accurately pick and prepare products for shipment, ensuring the correct items and quantities are selected. Utilize material handling equipment to transport orders to designated shipping areas.
- Shipping: Verify outgoing shipments for accuracy, ensuring all products are correctly labeled and packaged. Facilitate the loading of products into transport vehicles.
- Equipment Maintenance: Keep all warehouse equipment in a clean and functional state, adhering to safety standards and regulations.
- Inventory Management: Maintain precise inventory records, assist with regular stock counts, and ensure proper rotation of products.
- Additional Tasks: Repack items as needed, manage damaged goods, and perform general housekeeping duties within the warehouse.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Forklift certification and knowledge of hazardous materials handling are advantageous.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds using proper techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety protocols.
- Ability to manage stress and meet tight deadlines.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
- Proficient in warehouse operations and equipment.
- Availability to work various shifts as required.
LANGUAGE AND MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents, write reports, and communicate effectively with team members. Basic math skills are necessary for inventory management and order processing.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This position operates in a warehouse setting, which may involve exposure to loud machinery and varying temperatures. Physical demands include standing for extended periods, lifting, and moving heavy items.
