Job Summary:
Reporting to the Director of Clinical Operations, the nurse manager assumes round-the-clock accountability and added responsibilities for overseeing the efficient operation of the Medical Surgical department, aligning functions with the organizational mission and objectives.
What You Will Be Doing in This Role:
- Ensuring patient and staff safety by upholding a secure and therapeutic environment, and complying with Safety and Infection Control Programs.
- Upholding care quality by adhering to departmental policies and regulatory guidelines, ensuring consistent delivery of high-standard patient care.
- Taking ownership of meeting operational and capital budget targets, sharing responsibilities with the vice president of cardiac services for the smooth functioning of CVOR and CVICU.
- Sustaining clinical management proficiency and fostering professional growth.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of Recent Acute Care Leadership experience within Unit is a must.
- Graduation from an accredited professional nursing school is mandatory, along with a Baccalaureate degree in nursing.
- Active RN license or a temporary permit from the Board of Nurse Examiners for the State of Texas is required.
- Current certifications in BCLS and ACLS are necessary, with a preference for national certification (CCRN, CNA, CCRN) in the respective field of expertise.
