Floor Assembler/Production Machine Operator

About the Position
Under supervision, this position will assist with various assembly responsibilities, primarily utilizing the winding machine, to fabricate products for customers and design engineers.
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7am - 3:30pm
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
- Using hand and power winding machines including, but not limited to, rods. bobbins, and assemblies.
- Winding of bobbins and assemblies. Terminating or attaching wire to the caps.
- Prepare and set up equipment for orders. Assess the area's flow and keep products moving through the process.
- Maintain a professional work ethic, clean work area, and safe work practices and 5S requirements.
- Assist the Production Supervisor with daily production paperwork.
- Assist in the upkeep of all equipment and the proper storage of all 5S materials and tools.
- Perform other duties as outlined by direct supervisor and learn new skills/tasks as needed.
Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Specific job training (trade school or military) preferred.
Experience: 1-2 years of manufacturing experience preferred, but willing to train the right candidate.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Must be able to operate: Winding machine, bobbin, welding equipment, hand tools, and wire terminating or handling equipment. Other equipment may be associated with the manufacture of the company's products. Must have good manual dexterity and good visual acuity. Must be able to work using a microscope or magnifying lens on miniature parts.
