Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate assigned presses to produce metal products through processes such as stamping, crimping, and forming.
  • Arrive punctually and prepared for work at the scheduled times.

  • Execute die changes and setup tasks efficiently.
  • Ensure proper alignment of parts within dies or against machine fixtures.
  • Utilize machine controls to manipulate parts as required.
  • Operate machinery to prepare parts for assembly through punching, cutting, or compressing.
  • Adhere to work instructions as specified in Standard Operation Sheets (SOS) and Job Element Sheets (JES).
  • Monitor and ensure the quality and quantity of produced parts meet established specifications.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Perform routine maintenance on assigned equipment.
  • Complete necessary documentation related to job functions, including checklists and inspection sheets.
  • Fulfill any reasonable requests from management.
  • Be prepared for occasional travel, including overnight stays.
  • Work overtime as required, including weekends.
  • Contribute to a clean and organized work environment by applying 5S principles.
  • Adhere to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.

Qualifications

Experience

  • Preferred 1-2 years of experience in operating press machinery.

Skills

  • Ability to read and comprehend safety rules, work instructions, and maintenance guidelines.
  • Basic math skills for calculations involving whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
  • Strong problem-solving skills in standardized situations.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Physical capability to handle tools and materials, including lifting up to 40 pounds.
  • Willingness to work in varying environmental conditions, including loud and temperature-variable settings.

Education

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
