The Sales Account Manager will play a key role in driving sales in wholesale accounts through dynamic sales planning, event activations and retail account management relationships.

This role will work cross functionally with sales, marketing, education, and operational teams.

Sales Account Manager

your primary responsibilities include the following:

Build and manage effective working relationships with all retail accounts
Responsible for positive goodwill and partnership of our retailers at all levels while maintaining the company values, strategies, and programs
Work cross functionally with internal teams to gather questions and information and centralize all communication to and from the retailer
Facilitate all aspects of new retail account setup, including project managing all involved team members and tracking progress via a Monday project board
Work closely with creative, marketing and sales to gather all assets and copy needed to launch the brand on retailer's websites and in stores
Ensure retailer assets (dotcom, linear and store signage) stay up to date and that all accounts have the most current product information and signage
Continually monitor retailer stock and sales for replenishment opportunities and areas where improvement is needed
Be the squeaky wheel with retailers, suggesting replenishment orders when their stock is getting low
Communicate quarterly successes and sales opportunities.
Work with VP of Sales to define guidelines by account and priorities for each
Meet with buying teams to plan programs and discuss opportunities.
Participate in market week meetings, taking notes and communicating follow-up action items to both internal and retail partner team members
Regularly meet with internal planning and finance teams to communicate needs and programs for retailers
Update weekly sales to plan and communicate to internal stakeholders
Manage the side-by-side calendars to ensure sales goals and promos are on target YOY
Act as the key liaison for freelance team - Interviewing Freelance, Schedule Shifts for selected events with retail partners.
Develop sales goals, KPIs, and support plans for retail activations in partnership with Education and the VP of Sales
Track store and sales support, creating a tracking system to track weekly support through daily visits, and events.
Manage POS reports through retailer portals, and give full overview to executive leadership
Manage all aspects of planning and executing on in-store sampling, GWP's and gratis, including creating a forecast for all in partnership with Education and VP of Sales, communicating such to planning and finance, working with Ops to ensuring packaging guidelines are met, obtaining POs for all from retailers and ensuring timely delivery of all
Work closely with order management/OPS to optimize inventory and keep excess at a minimum, work with demand planning with forecast for each retailer
Coordinate with PD and OPS to create kits, bundles, and sets for retail accounts following retailer specific packaging guidelines
Work closely with IT to ensure retailer POs are received into ERP (either via EDI or manually) and are flowing through for fulfillment
Once POs are received systematically, ensure that Ops is on track for timely fulfillment and communicate order updates with retailers as needed
Share weekly retail recap with stakeholders, reporting on performance to plan for all accounts and identifying opportunities where additional support via internal channels could drive performance
Partner with Education to prepare comprehensive post-event reports and analyze data for future planning and strategy
Maintain and project manage any larger retail initiatives and programs via Monday boards

Qualifications and Requirements:

5+ years of prestige retail beauty experience necessary, experience working with major beauty retailers a plus
Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent education and years of experience
5+ years in sales experience
Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, project management systems and ERP systems (Netsuite preferred)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to communicate effectively across all levels and orgs of the business both internally and externally
Ability to prioritize and balance competing priorities across varying retail accounts
Strong organizational skills
Ability to travel up to 30% of the time, and flexibility to book last minute trips as needed

Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Must be able to move and lift heavy objects (25 pounds or more) from time to time as required
