Compensation:
$70,000 base salary plus commissions

Includes CarData (Mileage & Gas reimbursement), Monthly Cell Phone Allowance

Work schedule: Monday – Friday (Core business hours)

Position Overview:
As the Business Development Manager, you will lead efforts to identify and cultivate new business within your territory.

Engage directly with convenience store operators daily, establishing profitable partnerships and relationships.

Educate clients on **Core-Mark** products and programs.

The ideal candidate will showcase influencing skills, a unique perspective, customer engagement strategies, and a keen understanding of market competition.

Must possess attention to detail, critical thinking capabilities, effective communication skills, and a competitive drive.

This role involves extensive travel (80%) across Tallahassee, FL, and neighboring areas using your personal vehicle. Occasional overnight stays may be necessary.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and seize profitable revenue opportunities.
  • Generate leads through cold calling efforts in your region.
  • Expand your network to meet potential clients.
  • Cultivate relationships with new prospects.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to create proposals aligned with client needs and objectives.
  • Utilize various negotiation styles effectively.
  • Participate in customer debriefs and consultations with management to identify business trends and growth opportunities.
  • Identify new sales channels and strategies based on market understanding and competitive analysis.
  • Provide business development training and mentorship.
  • Engage in industry events and networking activities.
  • Perform additional duties as needed.

Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2 years of B2B sales experience involving client interactions and cold calling.
  • Demonstrated success in closing sales across various product lines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI.
  • Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and access to a reliable vehicle.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • At least 5 years of wholesale, retail convenience, or grocery distribution experience.
