Description

Medical Associates is searching for an Ancillary Charge Specialist to come aboard our team.

Schedule: During training, this role will be in-office Monday to Friday, from 8am to 5pm. After training and meeting productivity goals consistently, the position offers the option to work either 4 days of 10 hours each or 5 days of 8 hours each remotely.

Main Job Functions:

  • Code various outpatient ancillary services including Anesthesia, Laboratory, Physical Therapy, and Radiology following correct CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 guidelines.
  • Review system claims scrubber reports, making necessary adjustments based on department and payor policies.
  • Provide educational opportunities for providers identified during documentation review.
  • Assist the insurance department in correcting insurance denials for ancillary services using available resources.
  • Support clinical and ancillary staff with coding and billing procedures.
  • Complete assigned projects and duties.
