Job Overview:

The Credit & Collection Analyst plays a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of the organization by implementing and overseeing credit, collection, and billing protocols. Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and uphold the company’s credit policy, providing training and support across various locations.
  • Directly manage accounts receivable risks, collaborating with location staff to ensure compliance.
  • Evaluate credit applications by assessing potential clients' creditworthiness through references and credit reports, facilitating the onboarding of new customers.
  • Oversee the collection of accounts receivable, including legal proceedings when necessary.
  • Work alongside sales teams to offer financing solutions that align with risk management strategies.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness in customer invoicing while identifying areas for training and improvement.
  • Review credit memos for accuracy and ensure timely approvals.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in systems and lead process improvements within the department.
  • Execute various accounts receivable procedures, including applying finance charges and conducting month-end reconciliations.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or an associate degree with 2-5 years of relevant experience is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team, showcasing strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey information effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry objects up to twenty pounds, with flexibility to perform tasks that may involve repetitive motion.
