POSITION OBJECTIVE:
Under minimal supervision, executes general radiologic tasks. In this role, you will take charge of coordinating activities for specific areas and procedures. The patient demographic includes individuals from infancy to senior age.

Responsibilities:

Maintain an understanding of relevant Federal, State, and local regulations, as well as Trinity Health's Organizational Integrity Program and Standards of Conduct, ensuring compliance in a manner that reflects integrity and professionalism.

Perform additional tasks consistent with the job's purpose as directed.


Generate high-quality radiographs by employing appropriate positioning techniques, knowledge of radiographic machinery, and correct technical factors, while transmitting images to PACS for evaluation.

This pertains to the patient demographic from infants to seniors.

Inform patients about the procedures being conducted and secure consent for the examinations.

Assist in transporting patients to and from the Radiology department as required.


Conduct and support radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations relevant to the patient demographic, utilizing independent judgment to ensure timely completion of the procedures.


Adhere to proper radiation safety protocols in accordance with established standards to protect yourself and patients when utilizing ionizing radiation.

Demonstrate familiarity with office procedures and responsibilities within the Radiology Department.


Review requisitions and patient charts to confirm the correct examination and gather any additional necessary information prior to performing the procedure.

Verify patient identity using two identifiers before initiating any procedure.

Maintain inventory of supplies in the designated work area and recommend reordering of items as needed.

Engage in activities that promote positive change within the department and across other departments.

Foster and cultivate effective relationships within the department, with other departments, physicians, and hospital guests.

Take an active role in enhancing your skills to fulfill job responsibilities through personal and professional development.

Exhibit customer-focused and professional behavior consistently.

Meet ongoing continuing education requirements.

Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.

Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.

Possess a current permit to practice diagnostic radiography as required by the relevant health department.

Basic knowledge of radiation safety standards is essential.

Certification in Basic Life Support is required.

Basic typing skills are necessary.

Ability to select appropriate technical factors for radiographic equipment is required.

A high degree of independent decision-making capability is essential.

Ability to work effectively with patients, visitors, and staff while demonstrating strong communication skills.

Knowledge of sterile techniques is necessary.


Possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other hospital personnel and guests in a courteous and helpful manner.

Competence to provide care within the assigned unit for the described patient demographic is required.
