About the role: Reporting to the Fort Dodge Site Head, the Senior Director will lead the Engineering and Maintenance functions at both the Fort Dodge, Iowa and the Winslow, Maine vaccine sites. This pivotal role within the Site Leadership Teams and the Global Technical Operations Leadership Team presents an excellent opportunity to drive the Engineering function at two crucial vaccine sites and shape the global strategy at a prominent Animal Health Company.

**Responsibilities:**
- Provide leadership and oversee performance management for the Site Engineering teams
- Develop long-term strategy and investment plans for Site facilities
- Nurture technical talent and future leaders for Engineering and Manufacturing functions
- Ensure site assets are qualified, maintained, and meet Elanco standards
- Support manufacturing operations in achieving production goals while meeting quality, health, safety, and environmental standards
- Drive continuous improvement of assets to enhance equipment effectiveness and resource optimization
- Plan and execute capital investments efficiently and effectively.

**Requirements:**
- Bachelor's degree in engineering; master's degree preferred
- At least 7 years of experience in Engineering Team Leadership
- Minimum 10 years of experience in regulated manufacturing environments
- Proficiency in technologies such as viral bioreactor, bacterial fermentation, downstream concentration/purification, lyophilization, aseptic vial filling, and packaging.

**Additional Details:**
- Role based in Fort Dodge, Iowa with quarterly travel to Winslow, Maine
- Domestic and international travel required periodically for site visits and business engagements.
