At MKS, the Vice President (VP) plays a crucial role managing the office of the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and directly reports to the CIO. The VP leads the cross-functional management of information and technology within the organization, overseeing IT strategy, governance, and performance management. They collaborate closely with other senior leaders to ensure the IT organization aligns with overall business goals and objectives. Additionally, the VP is involved in building and leading a team to drive critical activities.
Responsibilities of the VP:
- Partner with the CIO to establish strategic technology direction
- Drive focus and prioritization within the IT organization
- Enable effective collaboration between IT, Finance, HR, and Compliance
- Manage IT budget and ensure financial governance
- Oversee IT vendor partnerships and manage contracts
- Lead HR-related activities and strategic workforce programs
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives for the IT organization
- Oversee Program Management for critical projects
- Manage Communications, Change Management, and Employee Engagement activities
- Define staffing needs and hire team members for the office of the CIO
- Bachelor's or master's degree in business administration or related field
- 8+ years of experience in IT and business/industry
- Minimum of three years in leadership roles
- Expertise in budget planning, financial management, and workforce planning
- Strong communication and leadership abilities
- Knowledge of emerging technologies and their application to business needs
