Join a leading tier I automotive supplier that is seeking a Production Supervisor for the 2nd shift to oversee production in a high-performing, smooth running area of the plant.

Job Description:
As the Production Supervisor, you will report to an Assistant Manager and be responsible for the following daily tasks in an assigned area of the plant:
  • Meeting and tracking production requirements and metrics
  • Training, coaching, mentoring, and evaluating the hourly workforce
  • Ensuring shift safety, quality, and delivery goals are met
  • Assisting with identifying process improvements
  • Leading the shift start-up meeting and attending other meetings as needed
  • Following the production schedule and making modifications as needed
  • Reviewing and confirming shift paperwork and production numbers
  • Communicating with 1st and 3rd shift production supervisors at shift change
  • Confirming time sheets, vacation, and time off within the timekeeping system
  • Conducting reviews of line leaders and production employees
  • Ensuring that training is completed for new and current staff
  • Other duties as directed by management
This hands-on position requires candidates to be on the production floor 100% of their day. If you enjoy leading others, ensuring accountability, paying attention to detail, working well in a team environment, and have excellent communication skills, this role is for you.

Requirements:
  • Minimum of a high school diploma or GED
  • Experience overseeing others in a manufacturing and/or distribution environment
  • Experience overseeing at least 10-15 people at a time
  • Microsoft Office experience, including BASIC Excel skills
Skills preferred but NOT required:
  • Production scheduling
  • ERP experience
  • Automotive supplier experience
  • Non-union supervision
  • Experience with continuous improvement initiatives

Working Hours:
