Objective / Purpose

The main goal of this role is to oversee the production process, ensuring efficiency, safety, and timely delivery of high-quality materials that meet customer needs. As a Production Supervisor, you will also be responsible for motivating, mentoring, and training the production team.

Areas of Responsibility / Tasks

  • Focus on eliminating manufacturing wastes and optimizing production processes.
  • Lead the team to meet production schedules and deliver quality products.
  • Collaborate with customers on trials and qualifications runs to drive business growth.
  • Conduct audits to ensure production, quality, and maintenance activities are carried out effectively.
  • Participate in root cause investigations for corrective and preventive actions.
  • Make data-driven decisions and ensure all safety standards are met.
  • Provide training to production employees and new hires.
  • Coordinate with the lab for testing and quality assurance.
  • Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe plant environment.
  • Adhere to quality, safety, and environmental procedures.
  • Follow company standards and code of conduct.

Minimum Qualifications / Education / Certifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Three years of experience in manufacturing supervision (preferably in plastic manufacturing).
  • Proficiency in computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities.
  • Detail-oriented and able to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Self-motivated and capable of operating a fork truck.

Competencies: Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

To excel in this role, you must demonstrate expertise in the following areas:

  • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work extended hours based on business needs.

Physical Requirements / Demands

  • Ability to lift up to 55 lbs regularly.
  • Perform tasks that require reaching, climbing, and manual dexterity.
  • Must have color vision for packaging and quality control.
