Responsibilities:

Byers Engineering, a MasTec company, is seeking a full time Outside Plant Fielding Manager in support of a large-scale Telecommunications project.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • OSP Fielding Manager will train Fielders how to complete site visits within given market
  • Analyze work site and design requests then determine scope of work to be completed
  • Deliver projects within timeline and ensure quality of work completed
  • Pay attention to detail and communicate any concerns or updates with the OSP Designer
  • Interact with internal and external customers
- represent Byers and our client in a professional manner

  • Adhere to all company safety practices and policies

Qualifications:

Desired Skills:

  • Understanding of Telecom, Fiber, and Outside Plant required
  • Previous Project Management experience required
  • Excellent communication for daily interaction with various teams
  • Experience training Outside Plant Fielders
  • Above average penmanship for handdrawn field notes
  • Knowledge of computer programs (Excel, Word, Power Point, and Dropbox)

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma and completed courses from technical school or community college preferred, but not required
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Qualify on preemployment screening, including nonnegligent driving record
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
  • Willing to be trained and adapt to changing industry trends
- continue education for Engineering design and best practices

  • Must be willing to travel

Work Environment:

  • Work schedule to match hours of our customer and meet deadlines
  • Requires outdoor site visits in various weather conditions + remote work
  • Dress appropriately and meet safety standards while onsite

Compensation:

- $32-35/hr Depending on experience
