  • Proficiency in Auto-Cad is a prerequisite.
  • Familiarity with Comparator, Micrometer, Caliper, and Gage Blocks.
  • Background in Tool and Die Making is preferred.

The following are the essential requirements for this role:

Requirements:

  • In-depth understanding of Customer Drawings, Blueprint Reading, and Geometric Tolerancing.
  • Evaluating the feasibility of producing a Product or Part using a Transfer Press.

Estimation:

  • Calculating Blank Size and Material Width needed for Part production.
  • Determining the necessary operations for Part manufacturing.
  • Identifying the optimal Transfer Press size and tonnage for Part production.
  • Estimating the timeline for Tooling engineering, construction, and development.

Design:

  • Developing a comprehensive set of Tools for various Transfer Press sizes and styles.
  • Creating Fixtures for Transfer Press application.
  • Designing Quality checking Gages and Fixtures for Parts.

Computer Skills:

  • Utilizing Auto-Cad Software for 2-D and 3-D design.
  • Managing Drawings with Vault Manufacturing Software.
  • Staying updated with the latest Auto-Cad and Auto Desk Inventor releases.

Education: Associate degree with 3-5 years experience, or 7-10 years of work experience in lieu of a degree.
