Job Title: Transportation Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Transportation Engineer to lead projects and serve as the primary point of contact for private clients and municipal agencies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all phases of transportation engineering projects, including traffic, bridge, and highway work.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients and municipalities, ensuring effective communication and project coordination.
  • Prepare and submit state regulatory permit applications, including Traffic Signal Permitting and Highway Occupancy Permitting.
  • Prepare, review, and finalize bid plans and specifications, and conduct quality control reviews for plans and reports.
  • Compose letters, memoranda, reports, applications, and studies as required for project documentation and client communication.
  • Collaborate with Transportation staff, clients, contractors, attorneys, and residents to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and adherence to project requirements.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
  • 0-5+ years of experience in Transportation, Highway, and/or Traffic Engineering.
  • Experience in highway design, traffic engineering, and municipal traffic engineering reviews (preferred).
  • Familiarity with working on projects involving municipalities and/or public and private sector design projects (preferred).
  • Experience with PennDOT regulations and procedures (preferred).
